Aspiring National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dennis Miracles Aboagye, says he remains unshaken by his recent arrest by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
In a Facebook post on July 15, 2026, following his release from detention, Aboagye stated that the experience had only strengthened his resolve and increased his capacity to serve.
According to him, if the arrest was intended to deter him from contesting for the position of Communications Director, it has failed.
“Let me be clear: if the intention was to break me, it has failed. If the intention was to scare me, it has failed spectacularly. I will lead the New Patriotic Party’s communications Directorate to command the narrative, and no cell, no false story, no intimidation will change that,” he declared.
“Fuel has only been added to fire🔥,” Aboagye emphasised.
'I am out, I am unbroken' - Miracles Aboagye speaks after EOCO release
He further clarified that EOCO did not engage him in any discussion regarding the alleged GH¢55 million misappropriation for which he was accused.
“Four days ago, just one day after I declared my intention to serve our great party as National Communications Director, I was picked up and detained by EOCO. A false narrative was put out about my arrest, but Ghanaians are not fools, and neither are the good people of the New Patriotic Party. The facts and the truth will prevail!!”
He added “FOR THE RECORDS: THERE WAS NO Discussion OF ANY GHc55million cedis with me by EOCO. None!!!”
Miracles Aboagye was released from custody on July 14, 2026.
