The Education Ministry has expressed its disappointment in the Ghana Police Service over their failure to track, arrest and prosecute the Bole Senior High School teacher who was seen in a viral video sleeping with an SHS student.

A statement from the ministry said they are concerned that the teacher continues to have freedom despite the seriousness of his misconduct.

The Ministry cites his recent interview in which he called on the Ghana Education Service to transfer him to a village rather than dismiss him as a clue that the teacher needs to face the law.

The ministry’s statement indicated that they have concluded that the teacher used his position and power to exploit vulnerable female students and must be dealt with in accordance with the law.

To the Education Ministry, it is shocking that the Bole SHS teacher hasn’t been picked up by the police, considering how swift the Ghana Police has been in recent times to nip crime in the bud.

The ministry used the opportunity to warn against indiscipline on the part of teachers, headmasters, and students across educational institutions.
