Not only Dual Citizenship. Can the Government of Ghana afford to pay them if they come for a National Service? In the Developed Western World, people are paid mostly weekly or every two weeks. Salaried People are sometimes paid monthly. Are there not Ghanaian Certified Nurses and Doctors who have not been paid for over Eighteen Months to two years? Let me be honest with you that the Guys from Diaspora will not yield to that. Where will they be accommodated? Will their residences have Stand By Electric Power Generators? What about their Water Supply? Is it going to be the same Galamsay Polluted water? Hahahaha. And has Ghana got any Advanced Health Facilities to care for any such needs? Please, don’t beat about the bush.

One thing I find difficult to understand is the " they will be able to learn the culture of the country". I hope that doesn't mean the poor attitude to work and dishonesty most employees exhibit in Ghana

Another way of wasting our meager national resources. Who will pay for their 2 months stay in Ghana. There are many Ghanaians studying abroad on Government scholarship who don't return home after completing their studies. Nothing is done to force them back home and here you are with a new initiative to waste the taxpayers money. Why not use the resources to finance research and innovation in our universities which are currently lacking resources for research.

Where does your loyalty lie if you have sworn allegiance to a foreign country? Any ghanaian with foreign citizenship is unpatriotic and a danger to the security of Ghana.

Ghanaians adopt foreign Citizenship, especially from the Western World like USA, Canada, and Western Europe not because they are not loyal but because of the horrible conditions in Ghana. How do you expect well educated, qualified and hard working Ghanaian to work for about two years without any salary or allowance? Do they feed on stones or grass? Loyalty needs to be compensated. The Army does not march on an empty stomach.

For your information, the U.S that created democracy in its present form allows dual citizens to hold public office with the exception of the presidency. Don’t you think if retired Ghanaians living aboard were allowed to contribute to the development of the country with their experience, work ethic and social ethics, we would be in a better place? The average Ghanaian who has never worked professionally in the development world has no inkling of how to get the country to be productive, ethical and accountable and therefore, we have the mediocrity that permeates all the institutions with no desire to do better but just to find ways of stealing government funds. We are our own enemy. Ghanaians at home love our money but not our contribution or, ideas unless they can see an opportunity to steal from us.
