Why can't BOG sell fx direct to the Forex Bureaux at BOG official rates to also sell to the public as is done in some countries in the sub region rather than them sourcing individually at higher rates? This would reduce tge ibcident of they say the rates are going up. It is their souces that claim they say the rates are going up when their sources dry up. Be wise BOG. Selling direct to the burueax will control the rates and reduce speculation.

I believe that might be the first speculators just to have good make up in macroeconomics...in reality rate is not 10,9...is around 19 that's why prices are high and when you calculate the price in USD or EUR a lot of things are more expensive than in many european and asian markets...let's leave african markets aside as Ghana is one of the higher cost of living in the hole continent.
Rate cannot appreciate naturaly 30% as we have experienced before, that's why taxes had to go up and now we have one of the most expensive airports...tax relieve in cars manufactured in Ghana is gone, etc, etc...
Inflation is down, yet school fees keep increasing and minimum wage cannot pay for rent...
