Useless government. How can the government sit and watch an abandoned mine pit and not take action against that owner until there has been a tragedy? That pit isn't hidden away, and there's no reason for the government agency ...

Useless government. How can the government sit and watch an abandoned mine pit and not take action against that owner until there has been a tragedy? That pit isn't hidden away, and there's no reason for the government agency responsible for mining operations to not be aware of this situation. Yes, arrest the owner of the mine, and arrest the government officials responsible for monitoring mining operations for neglecting to perform their duties.
