The article mentioned 3 names but I think Justice Torkonoo doesn't qualify because she was sacked by the president and still in court fighting her case, so she cannot be considered. So the President has only two and again Justice Georgina Wood served on the Council for almost 8 years of Nana Addo's presidency and at age 79 years she might not have the strength for that role. That technically leaves only with Anin Yeboah, who NDC hates so much, so that also is not an ideal option for them.
Or the last option is that the president can wait till the end of December, when the puppet current CJ would have retired and boom he is appointed as Sophia Akuffo's replacement.

Getrude Torkonoo is definitely not fit to replace Sophia Akufo because she was dismissed as a Chief Justice. Her dismissal is a blemish on her eligibility. Justice Anim Yeboah didn't clothe himself in glory as a former Chief Justice. He was once accused of bribery but the case against him was controversially curtailed. The best former Chief Justice without any doubt to replace Sophia Akuffo is Georgina Wood.
