All the three(3 ) female CJs were appointed by the Npp; Mr Kuffuor appointed Madam Theodora Wood, Mr Akuffo Addo appointed both Madam Sophia Akuffo and Madam Gertrude Torkonoo. How come apart from Madam Tokornoo, the other two actions and inactions didn't cause some uproar apart from eyebrows been raised?
Comparatively, and under the existing political climate, Madam Theodora Wood did not only pass with distinction but also endeared herself to open minded Ghanaians for the manner she administered the justice system and how honourable she carried herself.
Despite some abberations, Madam Sophia was also thought to have administered justice in a manner that was considered around average.
When Madam Tokornoo was interfering in all aspects of governance in Ghana did Madam Akuffo advice her sister and successor to thread cautiously?
So much harm was inflicted on the judiciary during Madam Tokornoo's tenure, much to the chagrin of most Ghanaians.
Unless, albeit the rumour mill, that she Madam Sophia pro offered some counselling to Madam Gertrude and she woefully declined.
In the absence of any such information, she is likely not to receive any form of sympathy from her compatriots whether she abstained on resigned the position.
On a scale of 10, the scores could be assigned as follows: Madam Theodora Wood, 7.95 ; Madam Sophia Akuffo, 5.05 ; Madam Gertrude Tokornoo, 2.05 .
I guess it is time for her to bow out and hope it had been done when the applause was high.
