Wooow ! Fantastic idea, but the big question is, how many of those at the !?!GFA and present-day football management in Ghana know who and what Mr. Koomson is talking about?!? Most came to meet the "under 17" etc and not the "academicals"! The players were picked from the regular "inter-schools" competitions annually held throughout the country. (Secondary schools, technical schools etc). There were other criteria involved, mainly players who were enrolled and regularly attended the various educational institutions. One needs to check the archives of then "GAFA" and "GSA" to fully understand the "academicals" model!

And to add to what is being suggested, there was an annual two-leg cup between Ghana Acedemicals and Nigeria Academicals which was very competitive.
