Many of our so called Professors and those with Doctorate Degrees cannot be allowed to lecture at the university in the Western World because they don’t carry out any researches and Publications.. When I was at UCC so many decades ago, it was only Dr. Pecki who published a book on GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING. Tony Aidoo was just argumentative and verbose. He never published even a Pamphlet. I think Ghana should have the Uncle Sam’s system where Lecturers who do not research and make publications every three years are made to go away by the Universities. The Education System should make this mandatory. Are we not sick and tired of almost every University Lecturer and other Educationists are trying to become, and doing Politics wherever they go We want our Lecturers to research and publish. We are tired of relying on their Ten Year Old Lecture Notes that they give to students always.

While the global north is far ahead of us in almost every sphere of development, what we simply engage in in that country is the politics of destruction, defending corruption, corruption, and projecting one tribe over the other. 69 years after independence, we are still battling with some of the basic things of life- no running water, poor access to health care, food insecurity, unemployment, poor road network, poor public transport system, low salaries, poor infrastructure, etc. Can we be people who are very conscious of making our country better?
