We hope that money to pay them is also ready at least before the end of the first three months. We don't want to see or hear any demo or picketing going forward. Your belly is full and they're hungry is annoying and painful.

Why can’t the Government liaise with some foreign Governments where such Professionals can be employed and paid in USA Dollars?? They are going to be employed, work out their whole Hearts but will not be paid for years. Ghana is a miserable country indeed.

Good to hear, but seriously. I just read from the News that KATH has decided not to admit patients to the accident and emergency wards due to shortages of beds. Then on the Peki road 15 people died on the spot. Even the survivors had no ambulance to convey them to the nearest hospital. My question it why do we continue building uncomplicated health facilities in the bush whilst we don't have the capacity to complete them, staff them and provide the necessary logistical support. Instead of building these facilities in the bush, why not consider expanding the existing health facilities?

My Answer:
Ghana has a constitution that grants immunity to the President who appoints all Ministers and CEO of State Corporations, the IGP and MMCEs etc.
The PRESIDENT must be made answerable for the wrong choices he makes as he receives praises for the good performance of his appointees.
That PUNISHMENT FOR FAILURE will make him always consider the best interest of the citizens.

Last week Sunday a young lass needed a medical attention. Her first point of call was at a government health center, there were only nurses no physician assistant. She went to Akawe there was no doctor or physician assistant. So what is happening. Doctors and physician assistants claim they work 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. These are all hoax and a lie. It has been going on for years and claiming all sorts of alowance and premium more than other equally important professionals, engineers etc. It looks like no health institution in Ghana today works 24 hrs a day. Very sad only God is keeping us. God forbid if anything happens to you during week end hours, they have to call a doctor from the house.
