Come to think of this, the E-levy was going to the GRA for the development of Ghana and the people complained. Now the 0.75 is going to the private company and we are happy justifying it. why are we doing this to ourselves.

Too late to cry over spilt milk, fellow Ghanaians. Our leaders chose to do away with Ghana Telecom because of limited foresight.
The reasons for the sale of Ghana Telecom then are the same issues today with ECG, EC, GRA, Ports & Harbour operations and almost all institutions of state including YEA.
The same insidious attitudes Ghana's so-called educated class brought to work then remains and at work at each agency or quasi agency of state. We cannot hire so-called engineers and technical people who sit in AC or climate controlled offices while the undereducated labourers attend to infrastructural and network line problems.
In Ghana today, we have tertiary institutions busy graduating and handing out certificates to graduates and yet neither Ghana, our institutions of state or Ghanaian private business has seen the need to provide software to drive our hospitals and pharmacy operations where our individual data flow freely.
We have an electoral commission administrators who are more inept than first year kindergarten pupils in STEM studies with powers in the constitution to be an independent body that spends money without foresight.
From here on out, SA entities providing services in other African nations are going to be compelled to make up the pending short-falls in revenues going to the SA government because of retaliatory steps by other governments against SA for the Xenophobic attacks on African migrants.

What is the rationale for the fee in the first place? That is the problem and not how it was communicated. We don't want fees for sending our own monies from our own wallets to our own bank accounts. There are too many fees already in the system! We don't want more friction. Private company should take the loss for consumers.
