City authorities watch on as kiosks spring up everywhere turning into soild construction and then into huge buildings in rivers and ramser sites and places they should not be. When demolition starts politics jumps in to stop it and flooding gets worse. We deserve what we are getting.

Our stinking attitude contributes to such disasters, and I don't feel sorry for anyone caught in this flooding. There are some areas that building should not be allowed, but the Ghanaian who is supposed to let the law work, would accept money then when the floods come, they will start looking for answers.
Another fact is why is every Ghanaian trying to stay in the capital because we have failed as a nation to develop the entire country forcing people to buy lands anywhere in the capital that is suitable for human habitation.
Till we start developing most areas to keep people in their localities, these natural disasters would visit us anytime.
