A 27-year-old woman, Abena Fosuaa, has dragged the father of her two children, Kwame Agyemang, popularly known as Dada, to television over claims that he introduced her as a maid in order to marry a Belgian woman for travel documents.
Speaking on Oyerepa Afutuo, a domestic issues programme aired on Oyerepa TV on May 13, 2026, Abena alleged that she had lived with Dada’s family for the past 10 years after becoming pregnant for him at the age of 17 while she was an apprentice.
According to her, Dada initially promised to take care of her and eventually marry her.
“I was an apprentice when I met Kwame Agyemang. He promised to take care of me and marry me. He even went to my father to assure him that he would take responsibility for me,” she said.
Abena explained that six months after meeting Dada, she became pregnant and was taken to live with his mother. She said she remained in the house for years and later gave birth to their second child.
“Six months later, I got pregnant and he took me to his mother’s house to stay with them. I was 17 years old at the time. His mother told me that after giving birth, I would return to continue my apprenticeship but even after my child turned four, I was still living in the house.”
She further disclosed that Dada later became connected to the Belgian woman through a family event involving his elder brother, who lives abroad. According to her, Dada represented his brother during a marriage ceremony in Ghana because the brother could not travel home.
“His elder brother, who lives in Belgium, was preparing to marry in Ghana but could not travel, so my baby daddy was chosen to represent him during the ceremony. They recorded videos of the event and sent them abroad.”
According to Abena, the Belgian woman later developed interest in Dada after watching the videos from the ceremony.
“After the videos were sent, the brother’s wife’s friend saw my baby daddy and became interested in him. She asked whether he was married and later they exchanged contacts.”
Abena alleged that preparations were subsequently made for Dada to marry the Belgian woman. She said her in-laws deliberately asked her to leave the house temporarily while the marriage ceremony was held.
“Some time later, I saw them bringing items for a marriage ceremony. My in-laws then asked me to visit my father because, according to them, it had been a long time since I had gone home. While I was away, they organised a marriage ceremony for my baby daddy and the Belgian woman.”
She claimed that Dada’s family introduced her to the Belgian woman as a maid who had an affair with him and became pregnant.

“They told the woman that I was only a maid in the house who had an affair with him and became pregnant. Later, they explained to me that he married the Belgian woman only to get travel documents,” she alleged.
Abena said she now feels betrayed after spending 10 years with Dada and having two children with him. She is therefore demanding compensation from him and his family.
“I have stayed with them for 10 years and we now have two children together, yet he has gone ahead to marry another woman.”
