The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has shared memories of his time with former National Security Minister Albert Kan-Dapaah during their student days at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).

Speaking at an event at UPSA on May 15, 2026, the Asantehene recounted how he once supported Ken Dapaah by providing him with food when he was unable to afford a meal.

According to Otumfuo, they often walked from UPSA to Madina in search of food during their time as students.

He further explained that on occasions when Kan-Dapaah could not afford a meal, he ensured that he was fed.

“Kan-Dapaah and I used to walk down to Madina to buy food. And at times, he didn’t have food, so I had to make sure that he had food to eat,” he said.

He also expressed pride in the institution and the individuals it has produced over the years.
