A 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly chopping off his brother’s left wrist during a fight at Agona Abodom in the Central Region.

Johnathan Baisie, popularly known as “Bra Baisie,” was picked up by police after the incident occurred around 11:00 pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2026, adomonline.com reported on May 15, 2026.

According to the Assembly Member for Agona Abodom Electoral Area, Alex Donkor, the two brothers, who have been struggling with mental health challenges, got into a heated argument that turned violent.

"Baisie picked up a cutlass during the confrontation and severed his brother’s left hand," Donkor said.

The victim was rushed to the Agona Swedru Government Hospital and is currently receiving treatment.

The suspect is in police custody, assisting with investigations.
