Chelsea star Cole Palmer has revealed that Ghanaian winger Antoine Semenyo is the only player to have properly nutmegged him in a game.
The term nutmeg in football refers to deliberately kicking, passing, or dribbling the ball between an opponent’s legs and successfully retrieving or passing it on the other side.
The moment came during a Premier League clash between Chelsea and Bournemouth, when Palmer had an encounter with Semenyo.

The English midfielder explained that he approached the current Manchester City attacker to make a tackle, only to end up being nutmegged.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Palmer admitted that his attempt to respond with a sliding tackle backfired, as Semenyo landed awkwardly on his ankle.
“The only time I can remember getting megged properly was, I think it was Semenyo. I tried to slide tackle him, and it was the worst thing I ever did because he landed on my ankle,” he said.
Palmer went on to joke about how he dislikes being nutmegged, recalling a similar incident in a five-a-side game.
“One time a kid megged me, yeah, but obviously I’m not a defender so I wasn’t bothered. But from then on, I just kept saying, ‘I don’t like that kid.’ So now I just run with, ‘I don’t like anyone that’s megged me.’”
Semenyo has maintained excellent form since joining Manchester City, earning a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Season award.
