Foolish IEA! And these are our intellectuals,? You can always renegotiate if you don't like the current deals. Being owned by Goldfields or Ghanaian is immaterial! Evidence has shown that Ghanains are terrible at business

Ghana has no excuse to stick to the colonial schemes when it comes to our natural resources. There must be a shift where, local mining companies must take up the mantle where all their outputs will be sold to the GoldBod. Just take a look at Joberg in South Africa and compare it with Obuasi and Takwa. It's because, mining in S.A are done by South African mining companies so the income from that sector stays in the local economy.
In our case, fools like Chicken George are still blind to the realities of the extractive industry. Let's just take a leaf off the notes of what's happening in South Africa when it comes to the exploitation of our natural resources and stop fooling.
The Gulf States have oil but because they're smart enough to nationalise it, they're super rich to the extent that, even the West envy their prosperity.
Local mining companies must take up all the expiring leases currently in the hands of other multinational companies and change the narrative.
E&P has shown the way and other local mining companies must also step up.

We want a Ghanaian mining company to take over straight up after Goldfields contact expires next year, else demonstrations. Look at TARKWA my town of birth and that if uncle ATTA MILLS, the former president of Ghana, what do you see in that town apart from dust? No good roads, hospitals, schools, market etc and you say what? We are tired and done with poverty thus any company which is not going to develop the town should forget about coming to TARKWA to mine, the gold should remain in the ground.

If reports that major operational activities, were undertaken by Engineers & Planning group, then we should waste no time in negotiations and hand over of the mine to that organisation.
Let the argument that, the CEO of the Group, is your brother, make way for Ghana interest
first.
Ibrahim Mahama, a mining professional, has over the year surrounded himself with a wealth of Ghanaian mining professionals, with world class technical expertise and competence to operate that mind successfully.
Ibrahim Mahama is the magic vessel to promote and accelerate the creation of at least 10 Ghanaian Billionaires in the shortest
Possible time. Ghana first superseds, arguments of nepotism, family and friends, and cronies.
Why change a winning team?
It's going to be a win, win situation for Mother Ghana and for Ghanaian Entrepreneurship.
GOD BLESS OUR HOMELAND GHANA.
