This is wrongful venture. A car may come without the ODD ll port not working. This is evidence in certain cars with frontal accident. I can bet you about 68% of vehicles in Ghana with obd ll not working. Our way-side mechanics cut wires and sometimes destroys the obd port and a host of other things. There is a global VIN portal you can easily check. It is paid site, why not use that. VIN number contains, vehicle type, year, place & name of manufacturer, and other information of the vehicle. This DVLA CEO, I don't know what he wants to achieve? A car manufactured in 2019 comes to Ghana and it is registered with 2026 number plate. Who does that in other jurisdictions?

Why doesn't the government fix the outrageous fees at the port when bringing vehicles into the country? This leads to a lot of illegal activity too.
