Day Two of the 2026 African Senior Athletics Championship is underway at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on May 13, 2026.

Today’s events feature various disciplines, including the men’s 100m semi-final, women’s 100m semi-final relays, high jump, as well as long-distance races.

Ghanaian athletes Joe Paul, Rasheed Saminu, and Edwin Gadayi will compete in the men’s 100m semi-final as the nation hopes for glory.

Other female athletes will participate in the 400m and other races, aiming to secure places in the finals.

Athletes from Nigeria, South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, and Ethiopia have already shown dominance in various running events and will also be looking to secure slots in the finals as they chase medals.

The African Athletics Championships run from May 12 to 17, 2026, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, with Ghana hosting the competition for the first time.
