Very good move because you are selling your water to other bottling companies who are making huge profits by just refilling into bottles and sachets. It is high time Ghana Water charges a high tariff specifically to these bottling companies making the huge profits and who are pulling the treated water supply in millions of gallons feom the system and then reduces tariffs on the average consumer

Ghana Water Limited are CHEATING customers so much. They only give electronic bills, which do not show previous and current readings on the meter. They just make wild estimates, without reading our meters. They no longer provide paper bills (with all the relevant details), which will not be problematic if the electronic bills come with the relevant details.
If you cheat honest consumers, then what are you encouraging them to do – engage in illegal connections? Okay, some of us will advise ourselves.

What is unethical about a water company using different supply methods? Do you carry your water pipes with you when you move around chasing money and need water?

GWSC is already performing very poorly in its core mandate. Government should therefore stop the formation of these drainpipe subsidiaries. They only serve the good of management, board and corrupt politicians.

Where is GWCL going to get the warer to bag or bottle to sell? Areas of Tema, notably Gbetsile have been virtually without water since December. As insensitive and shameless as they are, GWCL continue to send regular bills, worse of all to "consumers" without meters. GWCL management wants to hide its inefficiency by selling water which they are denying their clients for profit in their books. Isn't it true then that some management staff are behind the booming trade in water in the Gbetsile area? Please government must stop this irresponsible plan of GWCL management.

The Lake Volta has been there since 1964 when the Akosombo Dam was created. It covers 8 500 sq.m.and is the 3rd.largest artificial water resevoir. One would expect GWCL to have devoted some attention to this source of water. Establishing a subsidiary to produce sachet water is fine; but would it not be MORE RELEVANT to establish a good dependable source for the whole country. It is not late. Lake Volta is still there.
