What are the community funds for and how do these MPs account for these funds ? At times you see MPs providing consumables to their constituents or paying hospital bills , donating at funerals and paying school fees for some of their members which may not be from their own pockets. This may be a misguided use of the community funds . These funds must be used for the collective good for the people in these communities like access to good water supply, building of health centers , markets , construction of playgrounds and community centers and the maintenance of government infrastructures in the communities . There must be a proper accountability for the use of these community funds so that people don’t pocket these funds .
