3. Maintenance of buildings, frequent repairs of furniture, plumbing fittings and electrical fittings as a result of misuse by occupants.
4. Annual charges by government institutions in respect of business registration, business operating permit, property rate, stool land rent, EPA permit, Ghana Tourism Permit, Rent Tax, Income tax.
5. High standard of facilities required by pampered students.

No security no steward, no cleaners etc. Some even have dogs within the premises which is dangerous and places the students lives at risk. Collection of refuse is a problem so they burn up the refuse in front of the house and sometimes inside the house just to hide it from neighbors.
The fees charge are not different from the real/licensed hostels.
They are all over the place and the affected students can lead the authorities to these diabolic landlords.
