Based on these findings, the Healthcare Professionals and the Hospitals should not be blamed for them not able to handle emergency cases at the hospitals in Accra. How can the Greater Accra Region have that few number of Hospital Beds? How many trained and specialized Doctors and Nurses has the region got? This means they are being overworked and not paid appropriately and regularly. How many hours do the Healthcare Professionals work a day? Are they paid for overtime? How do we expect our healthcare Nurses to work for about One and a Half years without being paid? Are our Politicians and Parliamentarians not paid regularly and appropriately? Granted that the Healthcare Professionals at the various hospitals did not attend to the Patient at the right time and that led to his death, then we are getting what we have paid for. Leave the Nurses and Doctors alone. Pay them well and appropriately and see if they will not work.
No Army works on an empty stomach.
