The story of timber in Ghana is a sad one.
All district assemblies and government entities could have planted trees in their districts/ municipalities at very little cost and our country would have been greener.
Those who have forests should have fought hard to enforce afforestation to replenish the logging activities which cannot be halted given the lucrative economics of selling bushcut etc.
Hope our chiefs can work with authorities to preserve the forests that remain.
If we lose our forests we lose bushmeat, medicinal plants, and many other underestimated resources we need to preserve not just for us but for generations unborn.

NPA ….please make LPG gas more affordable else the firewood business will boom …. Not good news for trees
