The Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has been elected Chairman of the Committee on Health, Social Work and Labour at the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) under the Western Caucus.

His election places him in a key leadership role within the continental legislative body, with responsibility for shaping discussions and policies on healthcare, labour rights and social protection across member states.

In a Facebook post dated May 2, 2026, Annoh-Dompreh expressed gratitude to his colleagues across the West African sub-region for the confidence reposed in him.

“I am honoured to have been elected as Chairman of the Committee on Health, Social Work and Labour at the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) under the Western Caucus,” he stated.

He noted that the mandate reflects the trust placed in him by representatives from countries including Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Liberia, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Cape Verde and Togo.

Annoh-Dompreh pledged to work collaboratively with fellow parliamentarians to advance policies that strengthen healthcare systems and improve labour conditions across the continent.

“I remain committed to working with my colleagues to advance policies that strengthen healthcare systems, labour rights, and social protection across our continent,” he said.

He described his election as both a personal achievement and a moment of pride for his constituents and the country at large.

“This is not just a personal milestone, but a proud moment for Ghana and Nsawam-Adoagyiri Constituency,” he added.

The Pan-African Parliament serves as the legislative arm of the African Union, providing a platform for representatives from member states to deliberate on issues affecting the continent and promote regional integration.
