A Ghanaian woman by the name Faustina is demanding GH¢50,000 in compensation from her former boyfriend Kofi Hayford popularly known as Ice Man, citing the time and intimacy she claims were invested in their tumultuous four-year relationship.

In an interview with Lawson TV on X on April 30, 2026, she revealed that her feelings for her ex faded after she allegedly discovered his infidelity.

Her suspicions were seemingly confirmed when she found a locked padlock, which she believes symbolised a spiritual bond he had placed on her.

“A young man spiritually tied me to him using a padlock, but by God’s mercy, I was able to find it and open it to free myself,” she explained in the interview.

This discovery, she claims, led to significant conflict between them, culminating in her ex-boyfriend seizing all the belongings he had purchased for her after she ended the relationship.

She also detailed the alleged abuse she endured, including physical violence during conflicts, which she had previously communicated to him.

When she decided to leave their shared home, he confiscated her belongings. Family intervention followed, with her ex-boyfriend's father reportedly admitting to her family that his son's history of violence was the reason for her reluctance to marry him.

Despite initially agreeing to reconcile on the condition of no further violence, a disturbing incident occurred on April 15.

After she prepared a meal for him and his brother in Kumasi, she claims a "medical substance" was poured into her food when she returned.

In conclusion, she believes this is evidence that the ex-boyfriend had been deceptive throughout their four-year relationship.
