Lawyers for Joana Quaye have fired back at businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye following his interview on the Delay Show, insisting their client will ultimately get justice despite the ongoing public dispute.

This comes after Quaye’s appearance on the Delay Show on April 25, 2026, where he rejected claims that his ex-wife contributed to his success, insisting he was already financially stable before their marriage.

In a press release issued on Monday, April 27, 2026, counsel Godfred Yeboah Dame described the claims made by Quaye as “substantially untrue” and damaging to Joana Quaye’s reputation, stressing that the matter remains before the Court of Appeal after a High Court ruling earlier in 2026.

“Our client will continue to maintain her silence and place her faith in the justice system of Ghana in the hope that she will get justice for the wrongs and abuse inflicted on her by Richard Nii Armah Quaye,” the statement said.

Adding that she is seeking “equitable distribution of all the properties acquired during the marriage.”

The legal team urged the public to dismiss what they described as Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s claims of pre-marital wealth, insisting they were unfounded and part of a wider attempt to damage her reputation.

“We entreat the public to disregard the wild and unfounded claims of 'richness before marriage' made by Richard Nii Armah Quaye (highlighted by his claim of alleged ownership of a VW Passat), as well as the attacks on the reputation of our client, as a mere publicity stunt,” the statement added.

The statement ends on a firm note of confidence, with her lawyers expressing belief that Joana Quaye will ultimately receive justice.

“Joana Quaye will surely get justice for the wrongs and abuses she has suffered one fine day,” the statement read.
