Until the nonsenses of political appointments stop by abolishing the practice of political appointments by MPs in Parliament, almost all Ghanaians will continue to be enslaved by the current partially deceptive democracy of corruption that leads to slavery and poverty.
The best democracy is to required that all top government officials (EC, CJ, IGP, Ministers, Directors, Public CEOs and all heads of public institutions) be elected by votes and these elected top officials can compete for the presidency, so that the president can be elected from among them to choose a running mate just as each of the elected officials can also choose their running mates; deputies, assistants or next in command. This will be the best form of democracy that will surely solve Ghana's development problems by competition performance from expertise, not appointees who only steals and cannot solve problems. Parliament is the real problems because either the MPs (law makers) are corrupt or unintelligent enough to reason and protect Ghanaians with any innovative ideas.

There is simple solution to the poverty and developmental issue in Ghana but the same people who complain and post news are always ignoring the right solutions. (1) MPs in parliament must propose an amendment to abolish the practice of political appointment and require that all top government officials (CJ, EJ, IGP, Ministers, Directors, Public CEOs and all heads of govt institutions) be elected by votes. (2) The heads can nominate or choose their running mates for their security reasons. (3) Any of these officials can compete for the presidency and whoever wins can choose a running mate as the Vice the president. That will be the best democracy to allow any good competent citizens serve in top positions of government. With this ideology, all the nonsense of political corruption will end or drastically reduce to propel Ghana in an expedite progress and quick development within the shortest possible years. Politics is the real problem of poverty in Ghana and it loos like there is honest or intelligent persons born in Ghana to see this. What is the purpose of all the education and value of the Ghanaians with higher degrees (PhD, Masters, Bachelors, Professionals, high school graduates and lawyers/law-makers or all the journalist). Are we all cowards or we cannot reason with any innovative ideas? Are the MPs that dumb or smart to think and solve that long-lasting years of political failures? A word to the wise is enough. Stop this madness Mr Kwesi Pratt before some of us begin to see you as hate. Hungary just toppled their leader who ruled the country for 16 years backed by Trump and Putin. From the look of things, Ghana can never match a tinny country like Hungary in terms development before the world ends. Deep down your heart you know that Mahama will better serve this country in his third term compared to any candidate in the NDC. Ato Forson is the next person I believe can serve this country and move it forward, but it appears that the old rogues in the NDC want to sideline him and take over after Mahama. It will be sad to see these old rogues replacing Mahama instead of Ato Forson. It’s about everyone wanting to rule but the quality of leadership is our problem. One bad leader and the country retrogress.

By constitution, the practice of "Political Appointment" must be abolished and all top government officials must be "elected by votes", not appointed. So, that they can elected the president from among themselves which quickly and surely develop Ghana by expertise and competition with fairness that allows every honest good citizen to also serve in top positions of Ghana by equal right in government. That is the best form of a genuine democracy that solves problems. To be successful, you must do something unique that differs from most others by a special strategy. Nobody copies the same trend to be the winner or the leader without a uniquely crafted strategy for solution. Why do we repeat the same nonsense practice of political appointment that keeps us in circles of failure? Until the practice of political appointments is abolished by Members of Parliament via a new constitution or an amendment, most Ghanaians will continue to remain slaves and no developed nations of this world would respect leaders of Ghana when they travel abroad due to ignorance, corruption and inability to solve problems. This democracy we are practicing in Ghana and Africa is expensive and does not make any sense to me. We have to have a union government where everyone comes on board to govern the country and make it progress. The leadership of the government shall be rotational from the major political parties. For instance, the NDC leads the gov't for four years. Npp takes over for the same period. Any political party which has thirty or more than thirty percent votes from Ghanaians is qualified to be in the union government. Stringent measures (laws) must be enacted to deal with any member of the government who becomes corrupt.
