  There are three tribes in the northern enclave that have been the problem for those who live there: Dagombas, Gonjas and Mamprusis. They see no one beyond themselves, especially within the regions they control. The Dagombas in particular have been very tribalistic with public offices in the northern region. They will not accept anybody who is not one of them occupying public offices, yet they are all over the country occupying very influential positions in public institutions in all regions. The Mamprusis and Gonjas are also on the same trajectory now and the optics are not good for the country. How Ghana and Ghanaians handle this is a spectre I await.
  
  This is the reason some of us campaigned against the creation of the tribal regions by Akufo Addo. The creation of the northern, savannah, and northeast region regions has sewn a perpetual seed of conflict in the northern part of Ghana. I want to believe this was known to those who embarked on this region creation agenda, but they either ignored it just for the politics of it or it was a deliberate decision to keep the north turbulent so their division can be exploited all the time.
  
  All other Ghanaians must begin to look at these three tribes with suspicion anytime they appear before you for anything because they will not allow you in their regions to have any fair opportunity.

  This is absolute madness and must be condemned by all well meaning citizens. This practice of a native to head state institutions is now a norm in Tamale and has be checked. I don't understand why in this 21st century some people are still behaving this way. If that is the case, all Dagombas heading state offices in all other regions and districts should all come back and work in Tamale or northern region. Then the Gas should say all ministers of state or national heads of state departments must be Ga-Dangbe because the capital town of Ghana is cited in their land. What a shallow and uncivilized behaviour. Was the university built through contributions by Dagombas or Gov't? Then Rawlings shoudn't have used his personal prize money to establish UDS. He should have sent it to Volta Region. The current CEO of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, for instance is a Dagomba, the current MD of GCB a Dagomba etc etc. They should all be chased away by the Ga youth. This the same behaviour that made Tamale Teaching hospital a death trap. It is only called a teaching hospital by name, but it is not. Tribalism has made it a useless tertiary health facility. Well meaning citizens of Dagbong must rise up against this behaviour and practice. It is seriously affecting the development of the place.

  Whether educated or not, they are unreasonable, lawless, and violent. Their chief palaces are worse; dare not go there for the resolution of any issue, you will be disappointed.
  Living in Tamale is hell. Are you aware that one cannot go to the Tamale market, ask the price of an item, and not buy it? You will be attacked by the local women. You must be ready to buy, or else do not ask about the price.
  But the Dagombas in the faraway villages are fine.

  Dagombas are known for this primitive behavior. The Mamprusis are same. The Gonjas appear to be a bit better but this behavior if the Dagombas and Mamprusis not allowing any tribe to head public institutions in their areas have taught a lor of people lessons not in the north but in Ghana. Please Ghanaians, never allow any Dagomba man or woman to head any institutions in your locality because they don't do that here. Their behavior is animalistic.
