Antoine Semenyo produced a moment of sheer quality as Manchester City thrashed Liverpool FC 4-0 in their FA Cup quarter-final clash at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
The Ghana international was already influential in the game after assisting Erling Haaland for City’s second goal before adding his own name to the scoresheet early in the second half with a stunning finish.
Just five minutes after the restart, City launched another dangerous attack that sliced through Liverpool’s defence. French playmaker Rayan Cherki slipped a perfectly timed pass into the path of the onrushing Semenyo, sending the Ghanaian clean through on goal.
As the Liverpool goalkeeper rushed off his line in an attempt to smother the chance, Semenyo showed remarkable composure. Rather than blasting the ball, the forward delicately scooped it over the advancing keeper, watching calmly as it dropped into the net to make it 3-0.

The clever chip effectively ended any hopes of a Liverpool comeback and highlighted the confidence currently flowing through the Ghanaian forward.
Since joining City in January 2026, Semenyo has been in superb form, registering eight goals and three assists in 17 appearances, quickly becoming a key attacking weapon for Pep Guardiola’s side.
