A Ghana Premier League clash between Medeama SC and Bechem United FC has triggered widespread debates among fans after television viewers struggled to distinguish between the two teams due to what appeared to be similar kit colours.
The match, played at Nana Gyeabour Park, ended in a 1-1 draw, but much of the online conversation afterward centred on the television broadcast, rather than the football game itself.
On the pitch, there was no clash in colours. Bechem United lined up in their traditional green kit, while Medeama wore their well-known yellow and mauve strip.
However, the broadcast feed appeared to distort the colours, making both sides look as though they were wearing similar shades of green.
The confusion quickly sparked reactions on social media, with many fans questioning how such a situation could be allowed in a professional league.

Some supporters even suggested that it was difficult to identify which team was attacking during certain phases of the game.
Others blamed the television production rather than the kits themselves, arguing that poor camera quality and colour saturation may have caused the jerseys to appear nearly identical on screen.
Despite the controversy, the match itself remained competitive. Bechem United took the lead through Augustine Okrah before Medeama midfielder Salim Adams converted a late penalty to rescue a point for the visitors.

How can a professional league allow teams to wear jerseys with similar colors.

Even at the Inter-Schools level, this is not allowed.
This is absolutely a joke 🤣
Can’t even tell who is attacking and who’s defending… or maybe he actually prevented his own player from scoring. As it’s not Black Stars, “Football People” don’t care because it won’t fetch them any money!
