Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, and broadcaster Paul Adom-Otchere have once again clashed online following their recent exchanges on social media.

It will be recalled that GhanaWeb earlier reported on tensions between the two after the minister was seen playfully “teasing” former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Asokwa Interchange.

After the video went viral, Paul Adom-Otchere, speaking on his Good Evening Ghana show, heavily criticised the minister and questioned his doctoral credentials.

In a recent development, Dr Frank Amoakohene, during a live online session, fired back at the broadcaster, daring him to publicly publish his academic credentials.

According to the minister, Adom-Otchere should stop “beating around the bush” by referring to him as “Alhaji 35” and instead prove to Ghanaians why he was unable to complete law school.

“Uncle ‘Christmas tree,’ if you are going to make claims about me, at least do your due diligence and ensure what you are saying is true. When I posted my academic credentials, I didn’t include my appointment as Regional Minister. I am a qualified medical doctor and also hold a doctorate in Medical Laboratory Sciences. After that, I pursued Business Administration. I write my own exams, and I am intelligent.

“You once told us someone used to assist you during exams. Your university should have withdrawn your certificate by now. This is an academic discussion and has nothing to do with politics. I expected you to show us your law certificate and prove that you completed law school,” he said.

Dr Amoakohene further criticised the broadcaster, describing his style of journalism as substandard and questioning his achievements.

“It is simple, just tell us why you were unable to finish law school. You say I am not serious, yet you dedicate an entire segment of your show to me. Looking at how he practises journalism, you can clearly see the flaws.

“He couldn’t even pronounce my name properly. I am not in a hurry for someone who, at 51, has not achieved his goals to get to know me, because I gain nothing from that,” he added.
