So, why didn't they use the numerous 3-month periods they had in the 8 years of national retrogression under Akufo Addo and Bawumia? They don't consider that crucial things such as land acquisition, setting up of irrigation systems, land preparation, etc requires some time.
Yes, as a nation, we have failed woefully and shamefully in respect of tomato production. And the Burkina ban is an opportunity for us redeem ourselves. However, we are in a "tomato emergency" and we need tomatoes in our kitchens, while we find lasting solution to the problem.
