Ethically this is unacceptable.
The BNI which can be a bit neutral should investigate the allegations and come out with findings.
Are they not going to plead with the victim to tone down and accept compensation?
Same Jalil assaulted Mr. Nanka Bruce in 2017 and still walking free.

For the sake of credibility and for the purposes of avoiding any form of doubts, it appears wrong for the Police to serve as referees in a case involving IGP’ trusted team that is accountable to him alone.
No investigator will feel comfortable in coming out with the truth. They will feel intimidated by the office responsible for deploying the alleged assailants.
Mr. President we trust you will direct the Interior Minister to halt this investigation that smacks potential conflict of interests for a neutral state institution to investigate the matter.
