  I am from the North and knows this for a fact. A northerner will strike a competitor because of a woman.
  When I worked in Tamale, I sponsored three young ladies where in Tamasco.
  I had no clue that these girls were engaged to some guys who were Lorry Station attendants. The girls did not love them because they confided in me. So one day an elderly man approached me about what I intend to do to girls when they graduate from High school. I told the man that they want to lawyers, Nurses and accountants and I was going to help them through. So the man asked if I slept with them and I said no and that I regarded them as my nieces. He again asked me if I wanted to take a second wife and I told him a second wife will mean a drain in my resources to help. I told him that I had entered into covenant with God to help needy but promising children.
  Before he left he told me to be careful because he was going to stop the plot on me.
  So what I did next was to delay in paying their school fees and I asked them to approach their suitors for help. The help never came so I went back and paid.
  
  I left for the States but left them enough money to help them accomplish their goals. They did and ended up marrying other highly educated Northern men.
  
  I believe this what has happened to Mahama. Follow the women and the truth would be out.
