History should tell every Ghanaian with SHS and above education that because the study of sciences in Ghana's school system does not start mostly until we are in SHS/ secondary schools we have not achieved much even with our best and brightest science graduates because of the lack of application of their theoretical brains earlier on in their academic exploits.
It would benefit Ghana if middle school /JSS pupils could be given the opportunity to decide at their age what drives them. Middle/JSS pupils will be greatly helped to choose professional careers at their respective early age so that as they play on farms, backyards in the villages, towns, cities and metro homes some can engage in experiments/ application of what they've acquired at their early age.
An effective STEM program starts at elementary school years so that by the time JSS students are obligated to choose and attend SHS of choice the absolute majority know exactly if they have the skills ti seek trade school education of grind to a halt at SHS courses that would be a waste of their resourceful years.
