There is almost no crime now that someone from your group is not involved. I, and I believe many others, am becoming scared of every one of them when they are spotted in any corner of my neighbourhood. They are too violent.

  That is good to hear but here is the contrast and bias. There is a report that a similar thing happened around the Gbinyiri area where a birifor man was shot and killed, allegedly by some fulani people. Subsequently, some fulanis in the area got attacked, and it is not clear whether it was an extension of the robbery or reprisals. In that instance, some brifors in the area were arrested that they carried out a reprisal attack on the fulanis. No one has been arrested in connection with the robbery and killing of the birifor man.
  
  In the Fufulso case, there were clear reprisals by the indegenes, we are told, and fulanis killed and houses burnt, and the perpetrators known, but the police focused on arresting the robbers and not those who went on the reprisal attack. Same region, same regional police command, different treatment for different people.
  
  The police cannot be seen to be taking sides in these matters. Your biases are the cause of most conflicts in Ghana. Be resolute and deal with the crime and not look into faces. There is too much impunity by these northerners and if the police does not maintain neutrality in these things, you will embolden impunity and crime, especially against minorities.
  
  Mr IGP, please don't be seen to be encouraging sections of society to perpetuate impunity particularly on tribal grounds. Let the scale of justice be balanced. There is too much impunity in the savannah region and you cannot be seen to be encouraging it. This is what has gone on for years and many of them have moved to the south and creating problems for us.
  
  I have long said the creation of these tribal regions by Akufo Addo, particularly north east and savannah, have sown perpetual seeds of conflicts in those regions and against other regions. You do not create regions along tribal lines for unreasonable people with a feudal mentality. They will suppress the minority groups and that is what is playing out around those two regions.
