  I agree completely, look at waakye for instance, it is food that originated from the zongo community and was introduced by Hausa settlers from the north of Nigeria who were eating what they called 'Shinkafa da Wake' it was the Dagbani that localized the name to Waakye, a corruption of the Hausa word 'wake' meaning beans
