Now, at the 2006 world cup Ghana had two penalty kicks awarded in her favour.
Against the Chech, Asamoah Gyan missed but in the second match Stephen Appiah scored so against Uruguay, with Stephen Appiah coming on the pitch both John Mensah and Asamoah Gyan should have accorded him his place as the captain and also the more perfect penalty taker but both did not so the punished Ghana for nothing.
