My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Caleb. Such a tragic accident that was wholly avoidable. Our political class should take note and prioritise working with universities to get their roads up to standard so as to mitigate this from happening again. Caleb, I didn't know you but from your picture you look like a very astute your man, bless you and may your soul rest in eternal peace.....

That's a sad one. I can imagine blame on the official who asked him to go for his card. He may even blame himself but I'm sure he did no wrong and was just doihis work. This is very unfortunate.

In 1983 I was nearly thrown out of the Exams-hall for First organic Chemistry Paper. It was the timely intervention by Mr Mensah; who allowed me to write the paper so that investigation could take place thereafter. My problem was that we had two students with same first name and similar sir name (with slit differences in spelling). I was being charged for impersonation because the other student apparently did not register for the exam. This issue continued to hunt me till my 3rd year when I formal reported to the Registrar, and warned that I will sue the University for harassment.

Exemption here, exemption there are one of the main reasons why laws/regulations do not work in Ghana.

As a matter of fact, the first thing any serious university student would think about is their student ID card, which must be carried ALL the time, not only during exams.
This is sad incident, but the man is wholly responsible for what happened. No other person can take the blame.
Too many exemptions are the reasons why laws/regulations do not work in Ghana.

Secondly, definitely they have an album for which they walk past every student in the hall to verify image isn’t that enough?
You carry ID no wallets allowed, no purse, holding pencil pen eraser, id card calculator and that shit can even get missing.
A soul is gone over ID card, but parents have lost a son, money and lots and lots of time raising him all because of a very “precious id card policy”
So in the event the card is missing cant he write the exams 19 hours ago

Very sad. During our time there was nothing like ID card before exams. Today, because of cheating, look at what is happening. Even WAEC has changed its rules.
