  Every year at independence day, the president lights what is supposedly a perpetual flame. Perpetual flame burns both continually and autonomously, sometimes for years and doesn't need to be reignited every year. For example President Kennedy 's perpetual flame at the time of his burial in 1963 has remained burning even today. I implore the government to ensure that the independence flame is constructed to burn in perpetuity.
