Thus, one year to 9 months is a simple reckoning of the remission period. Where a judge states 12 months imprisonment, the same rule applies. A judge who does not intend to have a punishment affected by the remission will simply take the remission period into consideration in imposing the sentence. Let's get that!

This has nothing to do with weekend and holidays. Take note.
We have various takes of remission and the commonly used one is the one- third remission system.
