Exelsoir in Cape coast before Yaa Asantewaa's war in 1901.Their player was the first coach for Hearts of Oak at the present day Electricity Corp. of Ghana ground just before the law school.

I'm not sure how much research was done for this write up nor the yardstick used for asserting the oldest clubs here. However, I believe the first soccer club formed in Ghana, then the Gold Coast, was Excesior, in Cape Coast, ...

I'm not sure how much research was done for this write up nor the yardstick used for asserting the oldest clubs here. However, I believe the first soccer club formed in Ghana, then the Gold Coast, was Excesior, in Cape Coast, and was formed in 1903.
