  Do drivers in Ghana give way to Ambulance vehicles during an Emergency? The traffic laws must make it a criminal offense when a driver of another vehicle fails to yield to an ambulance. That is unacceptable and this must be enforced.

  You're perfectly right Kofsam but the problem is that people no longer give the due respect and presence to ambulances because we have allowed motor hearses to use sirens like ambulances. They are even marked "AMBULANCE" although they carry DEAD BODIES. Sirens are being abused so they don't evoke the needed urgency on the roads.

YES, WE GIVE PRIORITY TO AMBULANCES, SECURITY SERVICES, VVIP CONVOYS ETC THE WAY BUT IT DOES NOT MEAN THEY MUST PUSH THROUGH PLACES WHERE THERE IS NO WAY. GHANAIANS, WHO MOSTLY ATTACH EMOTIONS TO EVERYTHING WILL NOT AGREE BUT TRUTH IS TRUTH. IN A TRAFFIC EVEN WHEN THE TRAFFIC LIGHT TURNS GREEN FOR YOU TO GO, YOU STILL HAVE TO LOOK AND BE SURE IT IS SAFE TO DO SO.

  Sad for the loss of lives, and I wish the injured speedy recovery. Please stop referring to the Kumasi-Sunyani road as a highway. It is not. It's just any road. Merely linking two cities does not make it a highway.
