To get the REAL number of actual beneficiaries, one has to subtract the figure of parents capable of financing the education of their children from those whose parents were so poor that they could not, in reality be able to pay. No one is willing to do this calculation because the authorities deliberately refused or failed to collect and collate the statistics. So the NPP will be brandishing the 3 million figures to deceive peoples who do not think through issues.

I do not get it at all about Ghana politics - the level of ignorance and the lack of hopeful expectations from journalists and abject failures of media houses.

What exactly is the end game of NPP's free SHS scheme, Hon Afenyo-Markin? Is it the NPP policy to have an educated generation of Ghana's youth without jobs but as a labour pool for other nations? What alternate professional development opportunities did the NPP make available for graduates of the free SHS scheme who did not advance to pursue tertiary education? What was NPP's alternate path fir those free SHS graduates who, though qualified to go on for tertiary education, chose to not do so because of one constraint or another?

What are the figures, Hon Afenyo Markin, on graduates of the free SHS scheme year after year? Does the NPP party have record of those:
(1). who successfully completed SHS each year from 2018 through 2024?
(2) who enrolled in tertiary institutions right from SHS?
(3) who could not go on to the university but found employment?
(4). who remain unemployed or underemployed since completing SHS under the free SHS scheme year by year under the NPP government?

But what I know is that the NPP and NDC talk in abstract terms unable to provide data that can support ROI or justify sustainability of programs they initiate. So we find Dr. Adutwum talk proudly about successes of STEM education having failed to explain how a program that is not available at all schools in Ghana could be deemed successful by a presumed PhD holder.

It is in that free for all disingenuous political meaningless talking points that Miracles Aboagye can go anywhere around Ghana and present bogus data subject to own interpretation without questions from a mostly ignorant audience or appear on TV shows where political hosts are just as dumb as bricks; we get our money's worth.

Its a shame this government is so slow in probing the free shs under npp. Especially the school feeding programme, test book printing, maths set import, buses for schools. The rot that will be uncover can fund the completion of agenda 111 programme and balance used in furnishing all the hospitals. And these criminals are walking freely.
