At times, we use all kind of words against our rural folk's presence in the city but are they not Ghanaians? If these areas are developed, who in his or her right frame of mind will refuse posting?

I can see humility in this doctor and I pray she achieves her heart desires and what she aspires to be in the near future. Sometimes such people are sidelined when it comes to scholarships, promotions and other fringe benefits. If she's well treated and she doesn't live to regret her posting, others will follow suit but if she regrets later, then, her path will be a case study for other doctors. Not that doctors, nurses, midwives or other health professionals refuse postings just for refusing sake but sometimes those in the helm of affairs abuse their positions by using postings as punishment. Wishing her a nice stay.

Who should go and take care of your people? If they are to be.posted to their home regions, this nonsense will stop. Don't post only the new doctors to the Rural areas. The experienced should also be posted to the Rural arears to mentor the new ones. Above all, government should improve on the medical facilities in the Rural areas. They are too dirty. The state of their unhygienic conditions are so scary.
