Look, the credit rating agencies like Fische downgraded Ghana to a junk state during the NPP time in government. Today, its been upgraded to B minus. Which one is better? Exchange rate was $1 for GHC16. Today, its $1 for 10.58. Bawumia postulated that ' if in doubt, observe the exchange rate'. Musah should tell which is better? Inflation was 23.8 but when NDC came, it moved down to 3.8. Musah, who is more competent? I will not discuss the import cover, neither will I discuss the policy rate. Musah should look at the debt to GDP ratio and tell us which is better. Look, I will not waste my precious time responding to a confused man. No, I will not. The truth is the truth. They would have been happy if they had not been promised to increase cocoa price from 3500gh to 6000gh. When they were promising the farmers, didn't they know that world market price fluctuates? They have been in gov't before so they know that the world market price and the dollar-cedi rate all keep going up or down. If it's about the stability of the cedi, then why only cocoa farmers are affected, let the gov't tell Ghanaian workers that the inflation is in single digit, cedi stabilised etc, so therefore, salaries are going to be slashed and let's see what happen in Ghana. No amount of explanation justifies the reduction. Dollar is down, inflation down, fuel prices down yet lorry fares not down but rather up in certain areas. Cocoa farmers have been cheated by reducing the price of cocoa simple and short. Very very unfair and it must be condemned in no uncertain terms and stop trying to justify nonsense.

Makola traders were on the streets today demonstating against high rents and taxes.
