While the IGP’s raids may demonstrate enforcement capacity, they are largely reactive and lack systematic involvement of health professionals and clear referral pathways into treatment and recovery services.
As a result, such operations fail to address the root causes of substance use, do not ensure continuity of care after arrest, and risk perpetuating cycles of criminalisation and relapse instead of achieving sustainable recovery and public safety outcomes.

There should be better ways to handle such cases instead of the 'Rambo Style '. Most of such minor crimes should be given community jobs to do instead of filling our prisons.
