He know about Agenda 111 Hospitals and the importance before he was making the foolish and unreasonable remarks in the parliament that the Legislature or Parliament has become the tenant of the state and hence there must be a need to build new Parliamentary Chamber? The Minister’s argument was pointing to the solution. More hospitals = more beds. Indeed if Agenda 111 had succeeded, fewer and fewer people would be dying across the country from ‘no bed syndrome’. You don’t cure this problem with another ACT of Parliament. The Western world have such laws because their problem is not beds. They are concerned about discrimination due to race, poverty etc. We don’t have adequate health infrastructure. Thats where the debate belongs. The Minister was right. The Speaker got it wrong.

@Scooby Doo, you know very well that what the Dr said was right; if the NPP had paid attention to the health sector we wouldn't be experiencing this no bed syndrome. Is that not why they sought the votes of Ghanaians in 2016 and 2020. As for the Speaker I can understand his concerns, he was simply avoiding unnecessary back and forth arguments between the majority and the minority hence his intervention for the Dr to focus on the way forward.

I think the deputy minister was right in establishing the background to the problem. How could a whole government come up with Agenda 111 trying to establish 111 clinics in the country when in fact the existing ones didn’t have enough beds and other equipments? In any case where did the idea 111 come from? They just created ideas, looted the resources, and shared among themselves so much so that even Bawumia is a rich man now! Previously, I criticized the deputy health minister for taking the title Professor when all she had done was some adjunct teaching. Thank God she wisely dropped that title. But on her presentation in parliament, I strongly believe the Speaker ought to have allowed her to show the world that Agenda 111 was a stupid and wasteful idea when there weren’t enough beds at the existing hospitals. What happened to the OPERATION RECOVER ALL LOOTED wealth? Please collected all looted wealth now or risk being voted out of power soon.

Dr. Ayensu was just doing the usual dirty politics hence being rebuked by the Speaker because Bagbin knows the facts.
Under Nana Addo, there edifices were completed within 8 years, and they are: National Security Building, Gender Ministry Building, Youth and Employment Ministry Building, Finance Ministry Building, Defense Ministry Building, Maritime Office Building, Bank of Ghana Office Building.
Nana Addo's government built over thirty hospitals from scratch to completion within 8 years while NDC under Mahama built just one hospital at Dodowa. Go and check the records.
Remember that the "Agenda 111" program was a later addition but most of them were 70% completed.

There are some issue that has csused the slow down of Country Ghana.
Has the Country gotten a National Development Plan? For instance a 5 year development plan a 10 year development plan that binds all Political parties?
A big NO!!!
What is happening is the development plan is on auto piloting!!
Party A will come with a manisfedtoe in their party book Party B comes in the next election also bring down every policy of Party A start his own development strategy everything in Ghana is influenced by politics and not National agenda hence the Country is at where it is.even there
However The 1992 constitution has a chapter six ...THE DIRECT PRINCIPLE OF STATE POLICY.
ARTICLE 36 CLAUSES
7.As far as practicable, a government shall continue and execute projects and programmes commenced by the previous Government.
8. The State shall take steps to eradicate corrupt practices and the abuse of power.
This is the foundational error of the country no growth challenge so no reset theory will heal unless no reset unless political leaders do the needful The populace also calls on the Goverment to pay attention to that stop the sycophancy bootlicker.
Otherwise....
Here in the US If the goring policy to say Country B is īs ts an enemy who comes to white will carry it through!!!
Goverment is a continuous business citizens do not need excused they need results...

A woman calling herself an honourable telling serious lies between her teeth like that? She is rather exposing her incompetence. She is not on top of issues in her ministry. If she doesn't know, many Ghanaians know that, the previous government in 8 years started and completed more hospitals than all the NDC regimes' hospital projects. If NPP has remained in government, they might have completed a number of the ongoing agenda 111 hospitals. If the Deputy Minister thinks her government is a better alternative, they should have also completed some of the agenda 111 hospitals but not a single one. This useless propaganda must stop. Her government is priorising CHPS Compound over agenda 111. What a shame!!!

The Speaker of parliament, Hon Bagbin, did not rebuke Hon Dr. Ayensu-Danquah. The ghanaweb reporter who authored the piece need to go back and read a dictionary of his/her choice for the definition of the English word "rebuke". He/she can then come back and explain what Hon Bagbin said that was remotely connected to the word rebuke.
Small minded minions in the NPP and NPP-affiliated media houses may not like intelligent, proud, sophisticated and sharp minded women and that's your problem. What you cannot do is hide or write untruths about people more qualified and attained their status in society meritoriously compared to "life by party affiliation" enjoyed by most in the NPP.
Hon Bagbin did not want parliament degenerate into the gutter (he is very much aware of the micro minority's moral stance) and advised Hon Dr. Ayensu-Danquah to not infer or use words that may be reason for a debate. Should in case you have not noticed, one of the "boys" of the NPP, Hon Annoh Dompreh, was called out by another NDC educated, independent and self assured woman sometime in 2025 while the yellow belly cowards in the NPP called another intelligent, educated, independent and highly disciplined NDC lady Zanetor "daughter of a murderer.
None of your falsehoods and jandam will deter truths. Note how semi-educated but low class NPP women have left our shores for the USA, UK and places unknown only to be performing the menial jobs they once frowned on while pretending to be journalists in Ghana.

Madam Doc, its good you raised this issue. All you politicians are like that. Take the E-Blocks schools. How many were planned and how many were completed. A close look will show that its due to multiple factors. Slow payment of certificates, giving contracts to party people etc. Now anyone can check out how many were complemented under NPP. I hear Hon Adutwum was in charge of that.
For Agenda 111, we can now say 111 hospitals was overambitious. At the onset, the NPP made it look like they knew what they were doing. But for failing to pay contractors for most of them that we are told are over 70% complete, I think they should have concentrated on doing 30 to completion. It is time Ghanaians should insist that government should only start projects they can finish in 4 years because our politicians don't want to complete projects started by others.

Many Ghanaians have a short memory is true, since 1990 Ghanaian government hospitals has never got enough beds for its patients that’s from Rawlings time up date. People giving drips on floors and benches including new born babies with their mothers sleeping on floors. Who doesn’t know this. That’s why Nana Addo realised that we don’t have enough health facilities during COVID so should build more hospitals and that brought the agenda 111 which the NDC opposed as we speak they did not even mention it in their budget. So what’s the minister talking about. She’s not fit for the job. That’s all she’s only there for the money and can’t deliver anything.
