In some countries like Nigeria and the USA, they’re called Senator. You’ve just written that the German President is a Head of State. What then was your initial post about? Aren’t you guilty of the same thing when you disagreed over in the use of president? Methinks we can accept that an MP is a Senator somewhere and that the Lower House could mean the House of Commons or Parliament. Additionally, the power to govern in Germany is certainly vested in the Kanzler (Chancellor in English) and not the Ceremonial President. The same is true in Israel (Prime Minister) as well as the Republic of Ireland. The Irish Leader is referred to officially as the Taoiseach. Presidents in these countries don’t hold the Executive Authority. So in my opinion, saying the Italian Leader for the Head of Government is acceptable. You can verify my contribution with a Google search.

Eith hindsight he Rawlibgs realised it was just unecessary waste of lives and causing lots of pain to others.

It is for a reason why highly classified documented information are declassified only after 50 years, so as stories, rumours and narrations that might have circulated within the time and period are put to rest by the revelations.
This becomes a source of what closely or really happened and also to serve as a lesson to be learnt by those who will in future occupy these roles.
Those old enough heard all kinds of stories about the unfortunate - most, benefit of hindsight - execution of these soldiers for what a tribunal charged them for doing.

Any coup makers takes care of people perceived to be troublesome to them.. It's the norm of every coup across the globe.. It's just like today's politicians (true Democrats) harming and in most cases killing their tough opponents. The best is imprisoning them to shut them up.. Who doesn't know about this?
